Gerson Therapy
April 18th, 2008

Recently I saw a really interesting documentary about a simple and effective anticancer therapy and a way of healthy living. The therapy was invented in 1928 year by a German doctor, Max Gerson, and since that time thousands of people who had followed its principles recovered from serious conditions and terminal illnesses, so often recognized by the orthodox medicine as incurable.
The therapy is based on a simple and almost intuitive diet, which suggests drinking freshly prepared pressed juices (made of organic vegetables, greens and fruits, i.e. apples), avoiding pollutants and cleansing the body internally. The juice is immediately absorbed by the cells of the body and reboots its own healing system by rinsing the toxins out. Detoxed body is then healthier and gains more strength in fighting the disease.
The documentary also tells the story of how the orthodox medicine is resistant to alternative therapies, especially in the United States, where the only legal cancer treatment is chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. That’s also the main reason for which the Gerson Clinics are located outside of the US (Mexico, Hungary etc).
I do recommend the documentary to everyone, not only to people affected by cancer.
Please also check out the Gerson Institute’s website where you can find lots of information.
The Mystic Heart
May 29th, 2007
“The Mystic Heart” is a fascinating video dialog between catholic spiritual teacher Wayne Teasdale and Ken Wilber. They talk about their mystic experiences and thoughts on meditation, God, Universe, awareness, man and relations between these topics. I find it really nice to watch two people from different spiritual traditions who can find a common language and be so open and respectful to each other. As they show all religions and spiritual paths have the same root and essence.
Movie is split on 7 parts:
Evolution of Consciousness by Bentov
May 12th, 2007
Itzhak Bentov, a Czech born inventor and mystic was very interesting person. He tried to connect spirituality and physics or in other words tried to explain spiritual planes with tools of science. I have seen an interview with Bentov (not available on Google Video anymore), he was very nice and humble man.
What is important, Bentov never said his ideas are complete and ultimate truth. He said these ideas were only a model which needs to be verified and expanded. I highly recommend his books (Stalking the Wild Pendulum and A Brief Tour of Higher Consciousness), they cover a lot of interesting topics on spirituality. Quite simple diagrams and his drawings regarding evolution, consciousness, universe, kundalini energy and meditation are easy to understand for everybody.
Bentov’s ideas (taken from Wikipedia):
- Our bodies are mirrors of the whole universe, at every level.
- Vibration permeates all things.
- The universe and all matter is made of consciousness in the process of developing to higher levels.
- Our brains are thought receivers and amplifiers, not the source of thought.
- All knowledge that has ever been generated is potentially available to us from other consciousnesses somewhere in the universe.
- The universe is a hologram. The brain is a hologram interpreting a holographic universe.
Peaceful Warrior
May 1st, 2007
I just saw “Peaceful Warrior” movie – it’s based on the book “Way of the Peaceful Warrior” by Dan Millman. In the beginning I felt there are too many slogans, but after a while I accepted the fact that so much information has to be packed up in only 2 hours long movie. When I passed that point I started to enjoy watching. Movie is nicely done: good music, good photography and interesting story.
There are many inspirational scenes, sometimes just small ones, but important. The movie is about fighting our own weaknesses and getting rid of Ego. You can perceive this film on many levels and it allows different people to enjoy the show – everyone can get it in his own way (spiritual, motivational or drama). It’s a good movie, I recommend it.
I like the official website of “Peaceful Warrior” as well. It has simple, clean but powerful design and typography, really nice music and peaceful atmosphere. You can also watch the trailer there.
